The Early Learners programme caters for children in their pre-kinder year. Children are assisted in becoming confident and independent, as they establish themselves as part of a social group away from their home and family.
This programme encourages children to learn about themselves, families and the local community while also developing skills for more formal education in the future.
For your child to be eligible to attend the Early Learners programme at St. Andrews Kindergarten they must be three years of age by the 30th of April, in the year they are to attend the programme (until the child is 3 years of age a parent has to attend with them).
Pre-School (4-Year-Old)
Hours: 15 hours per week.
Fee: $345 per term.
Sessions for 2015 Blue Group - 2 x 7.5-hour sessions Monday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
Wednesday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
Red Group - 2 x 4-hour sessions + 1 x 7-hour session Tuesday 12:15 pm to 4:15 pm
Thursday 12:15 pm to 4:15 pm
Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
The Preschool programme focuses on children learning and developing through play.
As an important step before school, this programme has higher expectations of children than the Early Learners programme, nurturing skills that will be required for school and life.
Other aspects will include: Early literacy; multiculturalism; sustainability; music; incursions and children's interests.
Children enrolling for the Preschool programme must be four years of age by the 30th of April, in the year they are to attend Preschool.
